Chris.  I can't say as I would have had the foggiest notion what his christened full name was.  
I'm sure I've probably read it at some point in family/local records but he is and will always be

Cherokee-Funeral service for Samuel Christian “Chris” Haas Jr. will be Wednesday, November 21,
2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Lanman Funeral Home Chapel in Cherokee with President Don R. Hansen
presiding.  Burial will be at Cherokee Municipal Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral
Home, Inc. of Cherokee.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and 9:00 A.M. until
11:00 A.M. on Wednesday.

Samuel Christian “Chris” Haas Jr. was born on January 21, 1935 in Cherokee to Samuel C. Haas and
Mary Ursula Egan Haas and died on November 18, 2007 at Oklahoma Heart Hospital, in Oklahoma
City at the age of 72.  He attended grade school in Ingersoll, graduating from Cherokee High School
in 1953.  Upon graduation from Okalhoam A &  M (OSU), he was employed as a seismographer for
Phillips Petroleum.  During service in the United States Army, Chris served as an instructor at White
Sands, Sandia Base, New Mexico.  On July 12, 1959 Chris married Bonnie Jean Sprague in Powell,
Wyoming.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Dallas Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints.  He served as Assistant Clerk in the Alva Branch, The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints.  Due to declining health, Chris recently retired from farming a Centennial Farm in
the Ingersoll area.  

Survivors include his wife of forty-eight years, Bonnie of the home; two daughters, Susan Poston and
husband, David of Oklahoma City and Christine Hurst and husband, Hans of Stillwater; grandchildren,
Christopher Poston of Kent, Washington, Chelsey Hurst of Provo, Utah, Bryce and Tanner Hurst of
Stillwater; one sister, Katherine Haggard of Wichita, Kansas; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials can be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Heart or Diabetes Division
through the funeral home.
