I am very sad to hear that we have lost Elke. She was a
wonderful friend to me when I lived in Kiowa and I know how
much you are missing her. I still have the pickle jar she gave me
in my china cabinet, and think of her, and all of you often. Love,

KIOWA-Elke Hitchcock, 62, passed away on September 27, 2007.
Elke was born on November 1, 1944 in East Germany to Eugene and Marianne
Friesecke. She graduated from primary school with the class of 1958. She moved to
the United States in 1967. On October 10, 1984 she and Bill Hitchcock were united in
marriage. She owned and operated the Elke's Place Cafe until 1982. She loved to
garden and collect antiques.
She was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her mother Marianne of Duesseldorf, Germany; husband, Bill, one
son; Dirk Tucker and wife Michelle of Rex, Georgia, three step children; Rick
Hitchcock (Belinda), Nick Hitchcock (Deb) of Kiowa, Vicke Clepper (David) of
cherokee, Ok., grandchildren, Troy Tucker, Angela Allison (Kevin), Wreath, Jadde
and Dru Hitchcock, Matt and Trey Clepper, jay Clepper (Mandy), great-grandchildren;
Lauren and Logan Hitchcock, Dylan and Adrienne Allison, Trenton Clepper.
At her request she was cremated and there will be no service.
Memorials may be made to the Kiowa District Hospital through the funeral home.
