Aline-Funeral service for Glenda Ryel, age 83, will be Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at
Aline Christian Church with Polly Young officiating. Burial will follow at Square Cedar Cemetery with
arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena
Glenda was born on July 6, 1924 at McWillie to Abbie James Bocock and Opal Mae Booze Bocock
and passed from this life on December 3, 2007 at Fairview Hospital. Glenda was born and raised in
the McWIllie area. She went to Round Grove School south of McWIllie for grade school and
graduated from Helena High School where she was a very good basketball player. Glenda played
volleyball until she was over fifty years old. After she and Claude Ryel were married in November of
1946 in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, they lived in the Aline area. Glenda was an active member of the
American Legion Auxiliary for many years and was a member of the Aline Christian Church. She
loved spending time with her grandchildren and led a quiet, simple life.
Survivors include her three sons, James Ryel and wife, Rita of Enid, Ray Ryel and wife, Joyce of Aline
and Glen Ryel and wife, Kim of Enid; twelve grandchildren; one step grandchild; eleven great
grandchildren and other relatives.
Glenda was preceded in death by her husband, Claude; her sister, Doris McNickle and her parents.
Memorials may be given to the church through the funeral home.
