KIOWA-Frances “Panny” Jule Schupbach, 95, passed away on August 26,
2007 at Kiowa District Hospital. Graveside service will be Friday August
31, 2007 at Riverview Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of
Life service at the United Methodist Church in Kiowa at 11:00 a.m. both
will be officiated by Pastor Wayne Stephens. Arrangements are by
Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Kiowa, Kansas. Condolences may be

She was born in Alfalfa County, Oklahoma on July 21, 1912 to Henry J. and
Mae Alberding Liggenstoffer. She and Edwin J. Schupbach were married
on August, 31, 1940 in Cherokee, Oklahoma. They lived on the farm south
of town until 1969 when they moved into Kiowa. He preceded her in death
July 26, 1991. Also preceding her in death were her parents, brothers;
Homer, Lloyd (Bud), Richard, and sisters; Goldie Jefferies, and Betty
Kimmell.
Frances was the longest surviving member of the Kiowa United Methodist
Church. She was also a member of the UMW, Order of Eastern Star, Sew
and Sew Club, and Cowbelles.
She is survived by one sister; Verda Miller of Kiowa, loving nieces and
nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family and numerous
friends. Memorials may be made to the South Barber Scholarship Fund,
originated in 1991 by Frances in memory of Edwin, the Kiowa United
Methodist Church, or to the memorial of your choice.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 29, 2007 from 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
and on Thursday, August 30, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the
family present to receive friends from 5-7.
