Okeene-Funeral Service for Frank Milton “Pete” Laubach, age 90, will be Saturday,
December 8, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. George Rowe officiating.  Burial will
follow at Roselawn Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of
Okeene.     Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. with the family
present from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.  The casket will be open before the service
at the church.

Pete was born on September 14, 1917 in Okeene to Charles Laubach and Anna K.
Armbrecht Laubach and passed from this life on December 5, 2007 at Summit
Living Center in Okeene.   He lived in this area all of his life.  Pete served in the U.
S. Army and gained the rank of Staff Sergeant.  On July 8, 1956 he married Betty
Lehr.  Pete served the citizens of Okeene as firefighter, police officer, secondary
school official and retired as Chief of Police after thirty-three years.  He was a
member of the First United Methodist Church, the V.F.W., the Masons, the Retired
Oklahoma Police Association and the Retired Firefighters Association.  Pete is in
the Officials Hall of Fame for Secondary Schools for the State of Oklahoma.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara J. Smith and husband, Don of Overland
Park, Kansas and Patricia G. “Petie” Fischer and husband, Richard of Spring,
Texas; five grandchildren, Kelli Zettlemoyer and husband, Steve, Kyle Smith and
wife, Lisa, Eric Fischer, Dru Fischer and wife, Star and Bree Fischer; five great
grandchildren, Maci Bommer, AshLynn Fischer, Jacob Zettlemoyer, Jayce Fischer
and Jordan Zettlemoyer.

Those preceding Pete in death include his wife, Betty; his parents, Charles and
Anna Laubach; seven brothers, Charles, Charles Abraham, Otto, Herman, Leo, Earl
and Clarence; one sister, Minnie and one great grandson, Ash Spencer Fischer.

Memorials may be given to the United Methodist Church or the charity of the
donor’s choice through the funeral home.
