It's been a long time since I visited with you and Lois, since leaving Enid. So sorry to reads that Lois has
passed away. I worked with her at NWOBI for several years. Not sure if you remember who I am...but
she, Patti and I were all the same age. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

Enid-Funeral service for Lois Jean Koehn, age 64, will be Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 4:00 P.M. at
New Hopedale Mennonite Church in Meno with Pastor James Suderman and Pastor Dan O’Daniel
officiating. Burial will follow at New Hopedale Mennonite Cemetery in Meno with arrangements by
Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. Visitation will be at the funeral home in Helena on Monday
from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and Tuesday 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. with the family present during
Tuesday hours..
Lois was born on October 31, 1943 in to Arthur Unruh and Claudine Schultz Unruh and passed from
this life on December 14, 2007 at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid. Lois grew up in
Ringwood and graduated from Ringwood High School. She married Darrel Koehn on April 11, 1982 in
Jet. They lived in Meno until 2004 when they moved to Enid. Lois worked as a secretary at Economy
Hearing Aid and Wolfe Drilling Company and as a phlebotomist at Oklahoma Blood Institute. Lois was
a volunteer at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. While visiting family at area nursing homes, Lois
made many friendships. She continued to support these families by visiting. Lois was very active
in church women activities.
She is survived by her husband, Darrel of Enid; four children, Todd Palmer and wife, Kathy of
Oklahoma City, Brenda Schwarzlose and husband, Bob of Plano, Texas, Paula Collins and husband,
Richard of Lamont, Darren Koehn and wife, Colette of Meno; nine grandchildren, Josh, Deanna and
Bryleigh Palmer, Brian and Adam Schwarzlose, Morgan and Westin Collins, Ethan Caylor and Aric
Haga; one great-grandchild, Zoe Palmer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Norma.
Memorials may be given to the Diabetes Association through the funeral home.
