| Okeene-Funeral service for Cleora Clara Bierig, age 82, will be Monday, March 17, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at First Christian Church in Okeene with Rev. Monte and Leslie Michaelson officiating. Burial will follow at Bierig Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Okeene. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M., Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and Monday from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Cleora Clara Bierig was born on July 1, 1925 to Ezra Greb and Clara Geis Greb southeast of Okeene and passed from this life on March 12, 2008 at Summit Living Center in Okeene. She lived in this area her entire life. Cleora went to grade school at Henson Country School northwest of Okeene and then attended Okeene High School. On August 16, 1942 she married Harvey L. Bierig in Zion Baptist Church in Okeene. They had sixty-five wonderful years together. Cleora was a member of First Christian Church in Okeene and was a member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship. Cleora and Harvey traveled extensively, including taking an Alaskan Cruise, going to Jamaica and Cancun. Harvey and Cleora spent winters in Texas and summers in Colorado. Cleora was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Harvey of Okeene; one son, Jerry Bierig and Nancy of Okeene; one daughter, Cheryl Coons and husband, Duncan of Blackwell; three grandchildren, Bryan Coons and wife, Sarah, Chris Coons and wife, Amanda, Shannon Moore and husband, Robert; three great- grandchildren, Kearsten Moore, Kolten Moore and Caden Coons; three sisters, Betty Unruh and husband, Orval, Mae Reames and husband, Mac and Beverly Kopf; two brothers, Milton Greb and wife, Helen and Verlin Greb and wife, Loy Dean and many nieces and nephews. Those that have preceded Cleora in death include her parents, Ezra and Clara Greb; one sister, Captiola Reames and one infant brother, Delbert Greb; two brothers-in-law, Bob Kopf and Willard Reames. Memorials may be given to First Christian Church through the funeral home. |
