Dear "Grandma Boo Boo",

I am writing this to let you know how much I will miss you and already miss you!  You were more than
a grandma to me; you were a mother and a friend.

I find solace in knowing that you have returned home to be with my mother.  When reflecting upon
that thought, I realized that my mother died at the age of 31 and I am that age right now.  You had her
for 31 years until she passed.  I had you 31 years, and you have now gone to be with our Heavenly
Father, your mother and father, grandpa, my mom, Baby Shay, and many other friends and family.

I will miss our everyday phone conversations, in fact, as we were arranging your service, I wanted to
call you to tell you what a beautiful service the family was arranging for you.  I made sure to get your
pink velour outfit laundered and ironed it so that it would be just perfect!

After the heart attack that you survived in August 2007, the seven-hour heart surgery and valve
replacement in December, the staph infection in February, the sternectomy in April, and your six
month stay at long term acute care facilities in Oklahoma City, the Lord revealed to me that you were
a "tower of strength"!  I truly admire your perseverance!
We selfishly are never ready to "let go", but our family has been blessed to have second, third, and
fourth chances to be "selfish".  I decided after the second chance that I wanted to absorb as much
wisdom and knowledge that you had to offer, so I rolled out pie crusts as you guided me over the phone,
I transplanted flowers as you believed in me that it would be okay, I read all of the Garden Gate
magazines that you gave me and consulted you for information on flower gardening.  As I watched my
flowers bloom and grow, you coached me through and took special interest in my newfound hobby.

I will dearly miss you, your love, your support, and your guidance.  I will never forget you and the
opportunity that I had to be by your side as you took your last breaths.  I will continually draw
inspiration from your memory. You will always be one of the biggest influences in my life until we meet
again!  I love you!

Love, Kendi
Maribelle Booze
