| Funeral service for Doris Leone Ewing, 89, of Enid, formerly of Jet, will be at 1:30 p.M. Wednesday, December 31, at the United Methodist Church in Jet. The Rev. Carolyn Murrow will officiate. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. Viewing will be Tuesday 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home and at the church on Wednesday before the service. Memories may be shared with the family at www.lanmanmemorials.com. Doris was born on November 2, 1919 in Helena to William G. and Tessa Miller Beatty and died on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the United Methodist Home in Enid. She was raised in Helena where she graduated high school in 1938. She married Herbert Clark Ewing on December 24, 1940. Herb and Doris moved to the Great Salt Plains Lake in 1985 and then to Enid in 1997. Herb preceded her in death on August 21, 2007. She was a member of the Jet United Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Luginbill of Enid and Sheryl McKee of Fairview; three sons, Terry Ewing of Alva, Doug Ewing of Arkansas City, Kansas and Jack Ewing of Pratt, Kansas; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren and one great grandson. |
