| Teresa was born on October 17, 1959 in Waco, Texas to Linwood O’Neal (Bob) and Edith Smith Taylor and passed from this life on July 6, 2008 at Southwind Hospice House in Pratt after a long and courageous battle with cancer. During her young life, her parents moved to Duncanville, Texas, where she attended Duncanville High School. On July 11, 1975, Teresa married Pvt. Bradley M. Fox at Ft. Polk, Louisiana. Soon, he was sent overseas to Germany for his first tour of duty, and shortly afterward, Teresa followed. Bradley O’Neal Fox, the oldest son was born in Wiesbaden, Germany. On Brad’s second enlistment, the youngest son, Joshua D. Fox was born in Ft. Polk, Louisiana. Teresa and Brad were Long Haul Team Drivers for Miller Truck Lines for 17 years, until Teresa was diagnosed with cancer. As Team Drivers of the Big Rigs, their Jack Russell Terriers, “Tuff”, “Katie” and “Patch” were with them on each and every trip. They loved driving, seeing beautiful scenery and watching the sun rise and set in the mountains and valleys. They have met many truck driving friends from all over the nation. Teresa was a Christian, accepting Christ as her savior at the age of seven. She was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church in Duncanville, Texas. In June of 2007, Teresa took a break from the road, and enjoyed assisting with the young boys and girls at Vacation Bible School and looked forward to doing so again this year. Teresa was a wonderful wife, loving mother and grandmother. She lived her life for her family. From living on Army bases in Louisiana and Germany, to Kiowa, Kansas, and all points in between, she was always proud of her home, always keeping it clean and tidy; she loved to bake and cook for her family, and enjoyed working in their yard. She loved all birds and animals, tame and wild, big and small, especially the horses and long horn cattle they raised until they started driving. Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Bob Taylor, and both sets of her grandparents. Teresa is survived by her loving husband, Brad of Kiowa; two sons, Bradley O’Neal Fox and wife, Victoria of Kiowa, Joshua Fox and Nicole Jordan of Texas and three grandchildren, Tyler, Sierra and Ashlyn Fox of Virginia; her mother, Edith Taylor of Rice, Texas; her two brothers, Gaylon Taylor and wife, Brenda of Rice, Texas, James Taylor and wife, Frauke of Arlington, Texas; one sister, Pamela Hector and husband, Wayne of Rice, Texas; father-in-law, Dwaine Fox of Oklahoma; her mother-in- law, Anita Birdwell and husband, Dayton of Kiowa; one brother-in-law, Curtis Fox of Kiowa; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. |
