Jim Edmison officiating.  Burial will follow at Cherokee Municipal Cemetery with
arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Cherokee.   Viewing will be Sunday
from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.

James Mark Ginder was born on August 13, 1941 in Cherokee to Bill Ginder and
Fae Balfour Ginder and passed from this life on October 9, 2008 at his home in
Cherokee.  He was a farmer/rancher in the Cherokee area, where he was a lifetime
resident.  Mark graduated from Oklahoma State University with a BS degree in
Agriculture and he had served in the Air National Guard.  On December 19, 1970
Mark married Jeanne Smart in Cherokee.  He was attending the First Baptist
Church in Cherokee at the time of his death.  Mark fought a long, courageous
battle with cancer and always kept a positive attitude.  He was admired by many for
that.  Mark, his family and friends spent many special times at their home on Grand
Lake and many special memories were made to be remembered forever.  Mark was
a member of the SAE Fraternity at OSU and he always looked forward to and
enjoyed the annual ski trip with his fraternity brothers.  His daily morning routine
was drinking coffee and hanging out with his friends at Miss Dottie’s.  Lanie Ann
would bring a sparkle to his eyes and a smile to his face.  She loved her “Papa”.
Mark enjoyed life to the fullest and was blessed by many good friends throughout
his lifetime and will be missed.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kentra; one son, Travis; his parents,
Bill and Fae Ginder and one brother, Kent.

His survivors include his wife, Jeanne of Cherokee; one son, Bo Ginder and wife,
Heidi of Cherokee; one grandchild, Lanie and one sister, Vicki Coffman of Enid.

Memorials may be made to Share Hospice or the American Cancer Society through
the funeral home.
