Comments = We are so very sorry.  Reuben was a special person and I know how much you will
miss him.  You all are in our thoughts and prayers.  Our little fishing man has a special place

Reuben Heinze was born on July 25, 1920 in Quates, New Mexico, the son of Jacob and Catherine
Scherties Heinze and departed this life on October 5, 2008 at the Okeene Hospital.  He and Dessa Mae
Westfahl were married on November 21, 1940 in Okeene and he had lived in the Okeene area all but
approximately four years of his life.  He was a busy person who worked hard and belonged to many
organizations; namely, Boy Scouts, Lions Club, Alumni FFA, ATA, Church President, Youth Leader,
Sunday School Teacher, choir singer, Only the Best Club at General Motors. Reuben came to
Oklahoma from Quates, New Mexico by covered wagon. He was a farmer, school bus driver, mail
carrier, earth moving operator, witching and drilling water wells, foreman at Okeene Milling, service
manager for Trigg Snyder Chevrolet, and warehouse foreman at the
Co-op.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sisters and brothers, Marie Weiland, Alex Heinze,
Kate Eberhardt, Lydia North, Martha Driever, Pauline Hanks, Bennie Heinze as well as six other
brothers and sisters who died in Russia.

Survivors include his wife, Dessa Mae of Okeene; three daughters, Darlene Reynolds and husband,
Lonnie of Okeene,  Charlotte Billings of Seiling, and Kimberly Heinze and husband, Randy Bauman of
Oklahoma City; two sisters, Hilda Keith of Oklahoma City and Anna Nelson of Loma, Colorado; four
grandchildren, Teresa Baker Russell, Mark Baker, Bryan Billings, Nathan Billings; five
great-grandchildren, Ashley Baker, Brandon McCamey, Melissa Baker, Mattie Jo Baker, Rebecca Lynn
Billings; one great-great-grandchild, Cole Hayden Tiggrett and cousins, Arlevia Hoffman and Emma
Hooker of Okeene.  The family also consists of four acquired grandchildren, Mike Baker and family,
Gary Billings and family, Sheila Peterson and family, and Scott Reynolds as well as many nieces and
nephews who loved him very much.

Memorials may be made to the Okeene United Methodist Church and Okeene EMS through the funeral
home.
