| Aline-Graveside service for Erma Lucille Hood, 85, will be Sunday, October 19, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery southeast of Aline with Polly Young officiating. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Inc. of Helena. Viewing will be Friday from 1:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Erma was born near Aline on November 5, 1922 to Edward Kinney and Effie Mae Stuck Kinney and passed from this life on October 15, 2008 at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid. When Erma was a child the family moved to Tulsa then to Marlow in the 1920’s. She married Orley A. Hood in 1940 in Woods County. They lived in Wichita and then back to Aline. Those who preceded Erma in death include her husband, Orley in 1974; one sister, Dollie Sacket; three brothers, Roy Kinney, Bill Kinney and Kenneth Kinney. Survivors include four sons, Vernon Hood and wife, Phyllis of Missouri, Clifford Hood and wife, Janice of Aline, David Hood of Aline and Eldon Hood and wife, Debra of Aline; thirteen grandchildren, Randy, Katrina, Rhonda, Clifford, Kevin, Shelia, LaRae, Sandra, Sheri, Vicky, Adam, Samuel and Rachel; nineteen great- grandchildren, Kristin, Kory, Clifford, Derrick, Drew, Clint, Faith, Lashawna, Trevor, Russell, William, Sarah, Allison, Merrie, Dillon, Briar, Eva, Phoenix, Thomas; and eight great-great grandchildren. |
