| ANTHONY-Gary Houston passed away quietly at home surrounded by family after a lengthy illness on Saturday, November 22, 2008. Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Lanman Funeral Home Chapel in Kiowa with Pastor Elizabeth Kirkwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Hardtner-Elwood Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Kiowa, Kansas. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.lanmanmemorials.com Gary was born on September 11, 1942 to Mack F. and Dorothy Rose Baysinger Houston at Hardtner, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Pete, Ray, Jim, Donnie and one sister, Faye. He is survived by six sisters, Ann Houston of Anthony, Karen Houston of Anthony, Rose Mary Houston of Anthony, Kay Jones and husband, Herb of Rose Hill, Ks., Cathy Ewertz and husband, Bill of Anthony, Linda Kohn and husband, Bob of Evans, Colorado, one brother; Kenney Houston of Corpus Christi, Tx., numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the family to help with the cost of services. |
