| Okeene-Janet D. Howard, age 65, was born on December 1, 1942 in Hanover, New Hampshire to John W. Moore and Dorothy L. Hackett Moore and passed from this life on April 2, 2008 in Okeene Hospital in Okeene. She was cremated at her request. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Okeene. Janet attended Jr. High and Sr. High School at Unity High School in Unity New, Hampshire. She moved to Enid in 1974 from Holyoke, Massachusetts and has lived in Okeene for six years, where she was a housekeeping supervisor at Okeene Hospital. She did needlepoint, stamping, scrap booking, crocheting and quilting. She was a member of Stars Stamp Club. Survivors include three children, Linda Ortegon and husband, John of Tulsa, Richard Howard and wife, Shellie of Glenpool and Louisa “Lisa” Parks and husband, Chris of Okeene; five grandchildren, Janet Espino of Tulsa, Nicole Barnard of Glenpool, Heather Foster of Tulsa, Jason Howard of Tulsa and Jesse Sampson of Dallas, Texas; ten great grandchildren and two sisters, Irene Cumings of Claremont, New Hampshire and Debbi Brayton of Enid and numerous nieces and nephews. Those preceding Janet in death include her parents and one daughter, Rose Marie. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home on behalf of the family or the charity of the donor’s choice through the funeral home. |
