| Goltry-Funeral service for Gertrude Mae Jantz, age 88, will be Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Helena Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Karoma Cemetery southeast of Goltry with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. Viewing will be Monday from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M., Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home and before and after the service at the church. Gertrude was born on May 28, 1919 in Greensburg, Kansas to David Dirks and Lena Schmidt Dirks and passed from this life on January 25, 2008 at Great Plains Care Center in Helena. She had lived in this area since her teenage years. On August 2, 1941 Gertrude married Leon Jantz in Anadarko. She was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family. She was a member of the Helena Church of Christ. Gertrude is survived by her husband, Leon Jantz of Goltry; three children, Gordon Jantz and wife, Carol of O’Fallon, Illinois, Jane Ging and husband, Mike of Helena and Carol (Jantz) Swopes and husband, John of Newkirk; ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one brother, Ernest Dirks and wife, Twilla of Stillwater. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Lena Dirks and one son, Kenneth Ray Jantz. Memorials may be given to National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Alzheimer’s Foundation through the funeral home. |
