| Lorenz, Billy George (B.G.), age 74, of Okeene died on Friday, February 22, 2008. Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Patricia of Okeene; his son, Barney Lorenz and wife, Kathy of Okeene; his daughter, Robin Lorenz and husband, Kevin Roth of Birmingham, Alabama; his grandchildren, April Lorenz of Okeene and Theodore and Loren Roth of Birmingham, Alabama; his aunt, LaVerne White of Oklahoma City; two nieces, Linda Gail Reeves and husband, Weldon and Charlottia Rose Gay and husband, Bill and their families, Jeffery Reeves, Maylinda Reeves and Jennifer Thompson; sister-in-law, Kathleen Lawton and family and brother-in-law, Ted Waterfall and family. B.G. was born on the family farm in Okeene in 1934, where he continued farming until his death. He attended Okeene High School, Oklahoma State University, and University Hospital’s School of Medical Technology and Radiology. On August 29, 1955 he married Patricia Lee Waterfall. He worked for many years as an x-ray and laboratory technician in Oklahoma City, Ardmore, Cushing, and Okeene. He also served as Administrator at Kingfisher prior to his move home to Okeene. He was very active in his children and grandchildren’s 4H and FFA activities and enjoyed sharing his love of animals and farming with a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William S. and Rosa I. Klien Lorenz; his sister, Wilma Rose Burton and brother-in-law, Clarence Burton. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Paul Evans officiating. Burial will be in East Cooper Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Okeene. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
