| Enid, formerly of Jet-Funeral service for Garold Page, age 87, will be Monday, April 7, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Jet United Methodist Church with Rev. Carolyn Murrow arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. Viewing will be Sunday at 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. with the family present. Garold was born on March 11, 1921 to Earnest W. Page and Wavie Thornburgh Pageon the family farm southeast of Jet and passed from this life on April 3, 2008 at Golden Oaks Retirement Center in Enid. Garold was a lifelong resident of the Jet area, where he was engaged in farming, until moving to Golden Oaks in 2005. On July 28, 1941 Garold married Doris Smith in Enid. He was a member of the Jet Lions Club, Corinthian Lodge # 307 and the Guthrie Scottish Rite. Garold was a member of Willow Road Christian Church in Enid. Survivors include Doris, his wife and close companion of sixty-six years of Enid; one son, Earnie Page and wife, Sandee of Jet; four grandchildren, whom on numerous occasions Garold claimed to have wrestled to the floor and stacked them up, Brian Page and wife, Alisa of Parker, Colorado, Bryce Page and wife, Tracy of Pleasantville, New York, Brandon Page and wife, Lori of Edmond and Debbie Coker and husband, Chris of Lexington and eleven great grandchildren/fishing partners. Those who have preceded Garold in death include his son, Jim; seven brothers and four sisters. Memorials may be given to the Jet Lions Club through the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lorene and Betty and one brother, Eldon. Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation or the Lions Club of Jet through the funeral home. |
