| Helena, Oklahoma - Services for Eletha Lena Price will be Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 10:00 A.M., at the First Baptist Church in Helena with Pastor Dale Cummins officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 8801 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City at 3:30 P.M with Rev. Jim McNabb officiating, with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home Inc. of Helena. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Eletha Lena Price was born to Jim and Myrtle (Harris) Rupe on September 29, 1925 in Antlers, Oklahoma. She was the oldest of seven children. She married Grant Parker and moved to Oklahoma City. Later she married Ausbon Price. She was blessed with four children. She was a homemaker until the kids were school age. At this time she took those skills and worked as a housekeeper for a private family. After several years she went to work for Western Electric. She worked there until she left for health reasons, to take care of herself. In 1981 she moved to Hominy, to be near her daughter, Mary. In 1992 she moved to Mustang, to be near her other daughter, Linda. In 1999 she moved to the Great Plains Care Center in Helena to be close to her daughters. Her hobbies were reading and studying the Bible and enjoying her family. On November 10, 2008, Eletha was carried to glory on the wings of Angels. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three brothers, one son and one grandson. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Johnston and Mary Jackson of Helena; one son, Tony Price of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Floyd Rupe of Helena, Bill Rupe of Sonora, California; one sister, Oretha Langley of Mustang. She was loved by a host of other family members and friends. Memorial may be made to the New Covenant Fellowship, through the funeral home. |
