Burial will follow at Cedar Cemetery southeast of Fairview with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. Viewing will be service at the church on Friday. Anna Mae Schmidt was born in Isabella, Oklahoma on June 13, 1929 to John Nightengale and Eva Wedel Nightengale. She attended school in Isabella along with many brothers and sisters, while experiencing the hardships of the depression and the dust bowl days. All of this taught her the value of family and how to be frugal while raising her six children. She married Joseph Schmidt on September 13, 1947, and they remained sweet hearts for nearly sixty years until God called Joseph to be with Him on January 26, 2007. They were reunited in heaven on July 8, 2008. Anna Mae’s children… Kenny and wife, Marilyn of Calumet, JoAnn of Ringwood, Jack and wife, Cheryl of Ringwood, Jody and wife, Daphine of Enid, Tammy and husband, Richard of Yukon and Ray of Lahoma, all realize the blessing they had with having such wonderful parents who taught Godly values and the importance of faithfulness to family. They will be forever grateful for the blessing of their Mother – and won’t soon forget her dill pickles and corn fritters. Anna Mae has nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, her son-in-law, Loyde Killian and her grandson, Kaleb. Memorials may be given to the church through the funeral home. |
