| Aline- Funeral service Phyllis J. Ward, 84, will be Friday, December 12, 2008 at 2: 00 P.M. at Aline United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Heusel officiating. Burial will follow at Aline Star Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. Online condolences may be shared at www. lanmanmemorials.com. Viewing will be Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P. M. and Thursday 10:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Phyllis J. Ward was born to Irene Mary Goss Thatcher and Warren Jennings Thatcher in Knoxville, Iowa on November 18, 1924 and passed from this life on December 7, 2008 at Fairview Fellowship Home in Fairview. She graduated from High School in Monrow, Iowa and attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Gary, Indiana. She married Paul Barnes in 1945. Later, she married Pete Ward in 1975. Phyllis was a CNA at the Carmen Nursing Home and was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Pete of Aline; seven children, Randy Barnes and wife, Kathy of Wisconsin, Richard Barnes and wife, Bonnie of Carmen, Oklahoma, Roger Barnes and wife, Roxanne of Illinois, Robin Stanton of Aline, Darlene Yingling and husband, Calvin of California, Charles Ward and wife, Christie of California and Rob Ward of Aline; ten grandchildren, Angela Unruh and husband, Phillip of Coldwater, Kansas, Brandon Barnes of Afghanistan, Chris Barnes and wife, Sarah of Enid, Will Yingling of California, Shane Ward and Cynthia of California, Richele Applegate of California and Stacey Ward of California, Billy Copenhaver and wife, Marie, Heather Terry and husband, Ronnie, Lacey Copenhaver of Enid; fourteen great grandchildren, Shayne Ward, Brandon Applegate, Harrison Ward, Makena Unruh, Breanna Unruh, K‘ly Barnes, Naythen Barnes, Tayler Barnes, Brilyn Terry, James Cowan, Riley Cowan, Spencer Copenhaver, Dorie Barnes, Donny Barnes; one sister, Anna Mae Ward of Carmen and many nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; one sister and one brother. Memorials may be given to Fairview Fellowship Home through the funeral home. |
