| ENID-Ronald “Ronnie” E Watkins, 62, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2008. Graveside service will be on Monday, November 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Square Cedar Cemetery, 7 miles west of Ringwood on Hwy 412 then 3 ½ miles north, with Clayton Wallace officiating. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. Ronnie was born on October 14, 1946 in Enid to Jack E Watkins and Vola Irene Hedrick Watkins. He attended several schools in the area between Enid and Fairview. He graduated from Carrier High School and went on to study at the Enid Business College to get his degree. On March 9, 1968 he and Ann Catharine Tefft were united in marriage. He worked for Champlin Petroleum as a Junior Accountant before the company moved to Fort Worth. He then went to work for Union Pacific Resources until his retirement. After retirement, he did some work for Wako Industries. He was a member of the Followers of Christ Church. Throughout his life, he enjoyed travel, hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He will be remembered for his generous spirit and being a loving friend, husband, father, son, brother, cousin and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; Shawn; and one sister, Loretta. He is survived by his wife, Ann; four children,Randy of Phoenix, Arizona, Robert and wife, Maria of Oklahoma City, Sandra Teel and husband, Troy of Midwest City, Brooke Hollenbeck and husband, Jack of Bixby; seven grandchildren, Turner Watkins, Kenneth, Kathleen and Kyle Teel, Autumn and Bree Gregory, Michael Hollenbeck; two brothers, Dennis Watkins, David Watkins; five sisters, Charlotte Bowen, Teresa Parks, Paula Hensley, Lavon Holtzinger, Brenda Stricker. Visitation will be Sunday, November 2, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. |
