Formerly Cherokee OK- Funeral Services for Louise Dickson will be Tuesday, April
22, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. at the Lanman Funeral Home Chapel in Cherokee with Lee Roy
Goeken officiating. Burial will follow at Cherokee Municipal Cemetery with
arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home Inc. of Cherokee. Casket will be open on
Tuesday from 9:00 A. M. until service time at the funeral home and also after the
service.

Louise Valee Lawson was born February 25, 1933 in Kirksville, Missouri to Leslie
Lawson and Gladys Hatfield Lawson and passed from this life on April 19, 2008 at
Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Louise grew up and graduated from high school in
Kirksville, Missouri. After she married Bobby Dickson on June 17, 1956, they lived
in Missouri until they moved to Oklahoma City where she lived for a time before
moving back to Missouri. Then Louise moved to Cherokee, Oklahoma, where she
did babysitting in her home and church nursery childcare.  She then moved to
Tulsa to be near her family.   She loved the outdoors and working in her yard,
growing many flowers. Louise was very involved in the activities of her children,
grandchildren and her one great-granddaughter.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Prince of Skiatook; three grandchildren,
Karissa McMillan and husband, Sean of Broken Arrow, Wendell and Aaron Mitchell
of Ochelata; one great-granddaughter, Sydney Grace McMillan; one niece and two
nephews and their families of Kansas City, Missouri.

Those who preceded her in death include her mother, Gladys Lawson, her father,
Leslie Lawson, two sons, Wendell Dickson and a baby boy, one sister, Shirley
Mabery.

Memorials may be given to the National Kidney Foundation or the Diabetes
Foundation through the funeral home.
