| DODGE CITY-Ralora “Rae” Jean Ward Albright passed away on April 20, 2009 in Wichita. Funeral service will be Friday, April 24, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Southern Baptist Church in Kiowa. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Hazelton. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Kiowa, Kansas. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.lanmanmemorials.com Ralora was born on January 17, 1955 to Ralph and Telora VanVranken Ward in Kiowa. She attended the Hazelton Grade School and graduated in 1973 from the last class of Kiowa High School. She went to Hesston College for nursing and obtained her associates degree in 1975 and went to Friends College to get her BSN. On November 6, 1981 she and John Albright were united in marriage and to that union two daughters were born; Sarah and Miranda. She worked for numerous hospitals and nursing homes in the southwest Kansas area until her death. She was presently employed as a nurse with Cargill. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Dodge City. She was preceded in death by her daughter; Sarah. She is survived by; one daughter, Miranda of Dodge City; one grandson; Jesse of Dodge City; ex- husband, John of Hazelton; parents, Ralph and Telora Ward of Hazelton; one brother, Michael Ward and wife, Lou Anne of Wichita; one sister, Debra Cox and husband, Bill of Kiowa, numerous nephews, nieces, other family members, friends and co-workers. Memorials may be made to a college fund for Jesse or Brent’s Place (transplant housing for patient and family) in the name of Sarah through the funeral home. Visitation will be Thursday, April 23, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. |
