| KIOWA-Pauline Hood Fitzgerald passed away on August 4, 2009. Funeral service will be Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Congregational Church of Kiowa with Pastor Donovan Graber officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Kiowa, Kansas. Memorials may be made to the Congregational Church of Kiowa, Kiowa Manor, Kiowa Library or Hospice Care of Kansas. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.lanmanmemorials.com Pauline was born on December 3, 1912 in Kiowa to Finney and Mary Ott Hood. She attended schools in Kiowa and graduated from Kiowa High School. She worked as a dental tech. until her marriage to Felix E. Fitzgerald on December 4, 1949. She was a life long resident of Kiowa. She was a member of the Congregational Church of Kiowa, Pilgrim Daughters, Delphi and Eastern Star. She was past president of Delphi and past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star. She was a very active participant in all her endeavors. She was preceded in death by parents, Finney and Mary Ott Hood; husband ,Felix E. Fitzgerald; sisters, Ann Petrie, Christine Voils; niece, Gwinivere Colwick. She is survived by, Virginia Mack, Garland, Texas, Kelly Spoon and family, Harker Heights,Texas, Oscar Colwick and sons, Lorna, Texas, Evelyn Bliss, Wichita, Kansas, Byra Lynn Bliss Ramsey, Russellville, Arkansas, Tara Gibbs and family, San Antonio, Texas, Elizabeth Duke and family, Dothan, Alabama, Bonnie and Gary Slack, Wichita, Kansas, Steve Slack and family, Carbondale, Colorado, Linda Chandler and family, McGregar, Texas, special friend, Eva Bergren, Kiowa, Kansas.
