Ringwood- Funeral service for Dorthy Emerell “Hartman” Foster, 89, will be
Friday, October 9, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at New Beginnings Wesleyan Fellowship in
Ringwood with Pastor Dan Davis officiating.  Burial will follow at Cleo Springs
Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena.  Viewing
will be Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and Thursday 9:00 A.M. until 6:00
P.M.  at the funeral home and before the service at the church.  Memories may

Dorthy was born on March 10, 1920 to Elmer I. Hartman and Zola Crawford
Hartman in Cambridge, Nebraska and passed from this life on October 5, 2009 at
Fairview Regional Medical Center.   Dorthy, at the age of 10, moved to this area
after her mother’s death and continued to live in the area.  On March 12, 1937
she married Bob Foster in Watonga.    Dorthy worked for many years at Enid
State School, retiring in 1980.  She was a member of the MARC Senior Center in
Ringwood, the Quilting Circle, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and
Ringwood New Hope Wesleyan Church.   Dorthy was an avid supporter of her
children, grandchildren and great grandchildren at their Ringwood School
activities for 51 years.   Dorothy was a senior model for Dillard’s Department
Store representing RSVP.

Dorthy is survived by nine children, Robert (Bobby) Joe Foster and wife, Nina of
Bison, Joan Jones of Marysville, California, Zola Vanbuskirk of Enid, Barbara
Moore of Ringwood, Harvey Foster and wife, Pat of Ringwood, Wanda Failes of
Augusta, Kansas, Jack Foster and wife, Carol of Canton, Sharon Marin and
husband, Billy of Springtown, Texas and Debra Foster of Ringwood and beloved
dog, Sissy; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren and nine
great-great grandchildren.

Those who preceded Dorthy in death include her husband; one son; her
parents; one sister; nine brothers; one grandson and one granddaughter.

Memorials may be given to the funeral home on behalf of the family.
