| Ringwood-Graveside service for Glen E. Geis will be Monday, November 16, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Ames Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Okeene. Pastor Jim Nance will be officiating. Viewing will be Saturday 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.and Sunday 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Memories may be shared with the family at www.lanamnmemorials.com. Glen was born on July 18, 1935 at Deep Creek to Edd Geis and Grethel Burkett Geis and passed from this life on November 12, 2009 at Summit Living Center in Okeene. He graduated from Okeene High School and entered the U.S. Army. Glen married Wanda Killman on June 4, 1966. He spent most of his life in the Ringwood area. He was a member of the Ames Baptist Church, then the Ridin 4 Him Cowboy Baptist Church. Glen was a heavy equipment operator in the oil field and a certified fence builder. He also was a farmer/rancher, raising sheep. Glen was a member of the National Dorset Society. Preceding him in death include his parents; one daughter, Glenda; one son, Bailey Bierig; one brother, Robert Geis; three sisters, Doris Davis, Virginia Worsham and Mary Moats. Glen is survived by his wife, Wanda of Ringwood; one daughter, Melody Geis of Mutual and three grandchildren, Lacey, Timothy and Andrew. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association through the funeral home. |
