| Hazelton Kansas - Phyllis (Brock) Holmes was found in her home on Wednesday, February 11, 2009. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc of Kiowa, Kansas. Phyliss was born at Anthony, Kansas on January 5, 1930 to Joseph Taylor Brock and Viola Stolabarger Brock. On August 18, 1953 she and John H. Holmes were united in marriage. She worked at the Kiowa District Hospital for 20 years as a dietary cook. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hardtner and the United Methodist Women's group. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979 and her parents. She is survived by one sister; Elsie Riley of Wakita, Oklahoma; two brothers, Joe Brock Jr. of Homossa, Florida, Jphn Brock of Mesa, Arizona, several nieces and nephews. |
