Burrton, Kansas-Memorial service for Charlie E. Kerr, 88, will be Saturday, April
25, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Cleo Springs Church of the Nazarene in Cleo
Springs, Oklahoma with Pastor Jim Burggras officiating.  A meal will be served
open to the community after the service.  Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral
Home, Inc. of Helena.  Memories may be shared with family at
www.lanmanmemorials.com.  

Charlie E. Kerr was born on February 1, 1921 east of Cleo Springs, Oklahoma to
John Kerr and Sallie Jane McCurry Kerr and passed from this life on April 21,
2009 at Community Health Center in Wakita, Oklahoma.  He was born, reared and
farmed in Alfalfa and Major County Oklahoma.  Charlie was a member of the First
Christian Church in Burrton, Kansas.  

Charlie is survived by three sons, Charles Kerr Jr. and wife, Margaret of
Burrton, Kansas; Wayne Kerr of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Dennis Kerr of
Wakita, Oklahoma; one daughter-in-law, Irene Kerr of Tonkawa, Oklahoma; nine
grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Sallie Kerr; his wife, Ula Mae
Kerr; one granddaughter, Angela Kerr; two sisters, Lola Long and Anna McBride
and two brothers, Loren Kerr and John Kerr Jr.

Memorials may be given to the Community Care Center in Wakita, the Cleo
Springs Church of the Nazarene and Burrton First Christian Church through the
Lanman Funeral Home at P.O. Box 126, Helena, Oklahoma 73741.
