Kansas.  Memorial service will be Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Driftwood
Cemetery at Driftwood, Oklahoma.   Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Kiowa,
Kansas.  

Lois was born March 31, 1915 in Alfalfa County, Oklahoma to Isaac Miller and Katharine Gerber
Miller.  She attended and graduated form Ingersoll High School, Northwestern State College with a
BA degree in education, and an MA degree from A&M College (OSU) in history and education.  Lois
taught school in Oklahoma for over 13 years.  She worked for the Oklahoma Tuberculosis
Association, the Oklahoma American Heart Association, and the Public Health of Oklahoma for more
than 26 years.  Lois was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Vern Miller, Earl Miller, John Miller and a
niece, Marilynn Freytag.

She is survived by two nieces; Alyce  (Tommy) Ferrell of Kiowa, Kansas, Alta Michaelis of Salina,
Kansas; two nephews, Keith (Pat) Miller of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Donald Miller of Fayetteville,
Arkansas; three great nieces, Vickie (John) Snapp, Beckie (Ron) Miller both of Wichita and Kristin
(Anthony) Hernandez of Salina, Kansas.  

Memorials may be made to the Kiowa District Hospital or the Kiowa Manor through the funeral home.
