Dot was born on June 16, 1914 at Nash, the daughter of Chester and Blanch
Blake Howard and departed this life on Friday, January 23, 2009 at Fairview
Fellowship Home.  She was living in Enid when she met and married Alfred
Pecha in 1972.  They made their home in the Goltry area and spent 37 wonderful
years together.  Dot was a member of the Rebeka Lodge and the American
Legion in Enid.   Dot was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Enid.
She worked at Garfield’s in Enid as a sales associate and later worked at Sears
where she sold sewing machines and being a great seamstress, gave sewing
lessons.  Dot loved music, loved to dance and played the saxophone in her
younger days.  She had sung for many funerals and weddings.  Some of her
favorite things to do were gardening, fishing and raising chickens (from which
she made great fried chicken).  After their marriage, she and Alfred traveled
extensively going to visit children and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Stanford M. Hampton and one
son, Richard L. Hampton.

She is survived by her husband, Alfred Pecha of Goltry; two daughters, Mary Shy
and husband, James of Plano, Texas and Romona Kenyon of Dover; one son,
Terry Hampton and wife, Kimberly of Frisco, Texas; six grandchildren, Jennifer
Purselly Hampton, Dai Logan, Edith Preston, Linda Kenyon, Arnold Kenyon and
Cindy Hoag; eight great-grandchildren, Jett Purselly, Sigourney Logan, Winifred
Logan, Alexander Preston, Kathryn Kenyon, Madison Hoag, Brittany Hoag, and
Lauren Hoag; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Shorty and Betty Pecha of
Goltry, Lillian Steele of Oregon, Matilda Pecha of Albuquerque, New Mexico,
Agnes Marie Zoller of Pennsylvania and Evelyn Pecha of Parsons, Kansas.
