The Hulda Pope Family
Loving Mother and Grandmother

Hulda Pope of Okeene passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord on
January 5, 2009 in the Kingfisher Hospital.

Hulda was born on March 1, 1913 in Isabella to Jacob and Molly Bierig.  Hulda
married Mr. Sylvester Ivan Pope in 1930.  They lived and raised their family
southeast of Okeene.

Hulda was a loving mother to three sons, Douglas, Jay and Richard.  She was a
devoted and caring grandmother to eight grandchildren, fifteen great
grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.   She was preceded in death by
her loving husband, Sylvester in June of 1986 and her son, Douglas Pope of
Wilmington, Delaware in 1975.

Hulda is survived by her daughter-in-law, Frances Pope of Wilmington, Delaware
and two granddaughters, Sharon Jones and Carol Ann Gripp also from Delaware.
She is also survived by her son, Jay W. Pope of Okeene and his four children,
Dr. Wesley E. Pope of Oklahoma City, Cara Lynn Starkweather of Murietta,
California, Brenda Geis of Loyal and Angela Pacheco of Lake Forest, California.
She is also survived by her youngest son, Richard Pope and his wife, Susie from
Tyler, Texas and their two daughters, Pamela Ferreiro and Kimberly Hamilton of
Dallas, Texas.

Hulda was a wonderful homemaker. Her most treasured times were when all the
family would come together for summer vacation in Oklahoma.  We all have so
many fond and loving memories.  These memories will be cherished in our
hearts along with our strong Christian Heritage.  She will be deeply missed.

Funeral service will be held at the Loyal United Methodist Church at 2:00 P.M. on
Saturday, January 10, 2009 with Rev. Bob Jones and Rev. Bob Barr officiating.

Home, Inc.  of Okeene.  Viewing will be Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. at
