The funeral for Billy Frank Warehime, 83, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at
First Christian Church in Cherokee. The Rev. Ron Hansen will officiate. Burial will
be in Cherokee Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home
Inc., Cherokee. Viewing will be Tuesday before the service at the church.

He was born Jan. 3, 1926, in Sapulpa to Forrest and Marie Warehime and died
Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at Cherokee Manor.

He served in the Air Force from 1944 until 1946. He worked as an electrician for
years in Cherokee before going to Enid to work as an aircraft mechanic at Vance
Air Force Base from 1966 until 1991.

He married Mary Ellen Young in 1947 and she preceded him in death. He later
married Bernetta Rhodes in 1999. He was a member and elder of First Christian
Church in Cherokee. He belonged to American Legion and Nation-al Rifle
Association.

Surviving are his wife, Bernetta; daughter, Janet Stein; one brother, Forrest
Warehime Jr.; stepson, Mike Rhodes; stepdaughter, Debbie Frieden; four
stepgranddaughters; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; and one
stepgreat-great-grandson.

In addition to his first wife, Mary Ellen, he was preceded in death by one sister and
a son.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Midway Sunday school class
scholarship fund of First Christian Church.
