| Midwest City, formerly Helena-Graveside service for Dorothea E. Werner, 91, will be Friday, September 11, 2009 at 1:30 P.M. with Rev. Brian Frable officiating. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. Memories may be shared with the family at www.lanmanmemorials.com. Viewing will be Thursday 10:00 A.M. 6:00 P.M. Dorothea was born on October 7, 1917 to Claude E. Jones and Ivy P. McCormick Jones in Murphysboro, Illinois and passed from this life on September 4, 2009 at her daughter’s home in Midwest City. She attended Longfellow Grade School, Logan Jr. High School and she graduated from Murphysboro Township High School. Dorothea married Walter T. Werner, Jr. They lived in many places, finally settling in Helena. The past nine years Dorothea had lived in Midwest City. She did bookkeeping and helped on the farm. Survivors include her daughters, Judith Kay Longhway and husband, Donald, Patricia Lynne Summers and Sandra Sue Jacobs; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one brother, William R. Jones, Those who preceded Dorothea in death include her husband, Walter; her parents; one brother, Edgar L. Jones; three sisters, Helene Longfellow, Violet Peggy Lynch and Mildred Brawner. Memorials may be given to the donor’s favorite charity through the funeral home. |
