Comments = Betty was a dear friend to my mother Cleta Parker at the Manor. They ate all
their meals together and would meet every afternoon for coffee and snacks. Cleta will
sorely miss her. God Bless.
Betty Tidwell Wiley, 87 passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Kiowa Hospital District Manor.  
Betty, daughter of Joseph B. Frieden and Myrtle Alberding Frieden, was born on September 29, 1921.  
Betty graduated from Kiowa High School with the class of 1940.  She was united in marriage to
Dewey L. Tidwell at Kiowa on September 17, 1942, and they made their home in Kiowa.  To this union
two children were born: a son, Danny and a daughter, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, George Rathgeber and her husband,
Dewey.  On June 13, 1978 she was united in marriage to Parker Wiley.
Betty is survived by her former husband and companion, Parker Wiley; son, Danny Tidwell and wife,
Cheryl of Andover; daughter, Virginia and husband, Bob Stark of Kiowa; one brother, Larry Frieden
and wife, Millie of Hazelton; four grandchildren, Ginger Strutton and husband, Ray, Cindy Denton,
Scott Tidwell, Kristen Dexter and husband, Eric; four great grandchildren, Riley Denton, Blake
Tidwell, Logan Dexter and Sydney Dexter; one niece, Cammi Hostetler and husband, Brian; two
nephews, Linndy Frieden and wife, Deeann and Vanndy Frieden; great nieces, Carsyn  Frieden,
Kennedy Frieden, Keeli Hostetler, Kacee Hostetler; great nephews, Cooper Frieden and Corry
Hostetler; other relatives; many friends and her beloved cats.

The casket will be open at the funeral home on Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
and at the church after the service.  
Memorials may be made to the Kiowa Manor or the Apostolic Church through the funeral home.
