He was my best buddy, my best friend and a Father figure to me, such an icon in my life.We had a bond that was inseperable and I Love this man dearly. Elmer and I had so many memories that will carry on forever and ever. We worked together, we fished together, we laughed and also cried together. We could always confide in each other. There were no boundries for Elmer and I and we became family. To say he touched my life in a big way is really an understatement.I know Elmer would want me to be strong now so I must find my strength and it's hard. I was one of the few that could argue with Elmer, "BUT I NEVER WON". We could still agree to disagree. My deepest regrets that I will carry to the grave is that I never stopped in to see Elmer as I should have after his retirement. It hurt me to see Elmer loosing his health, I wanted to remember him as I knew him, as strong, vibrant and full of vigor. I can come up with several excuses but none are good! enough and that lost time can never be made up. Elmer is at peace now. I have faith and belief there is a better place for us than the earth we live on. Elmer has worked a hard life and deserves the rest and rewards. To the family, my deepest sympathy goes out. I can only imagine how devastated you must be. Cherish your memories as these no one can take away.I am so sorry. My prayers and thoughts will be with you and I will be here for you.
