| Enid, formerly Kiowa, Kansas-Graveside service for Berneice Lawson, 94, will be Thursday, January 28, 2010 11:00 A.M. at Capron Cemetery east of Capron, Oklahoma with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Kiowa, Kansas. Viewing will be Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memories may be shared with the family at www.lanmanmemorials.com. Berneice was born on February 18, 1916 in Freedom, Oklahoma to George Bryson and Ina Moreland Bryson and passed from this life on Saturday, January 23, 2010 in Enid, Oklahoma. Berneice lived and worked in Enid for a short time. She married Gustave “Tave” Korff on September 2, 1949 and moved to Kiowa to farm with Tave. Berneice married Frosty Lawson on January 30, 1990, they were married for 13 years. She was a member of the Kiowa Congregational United Church of Christ in Kiowa. She is survived by one sister, Ina Jean Fromme of Enid; step-son, David Lawson and wife, Charlene of Kiowa; step-daughter, Harlene Shively of Wichita, step-grandchildren and step great- grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Berneice was preceded in death by her first husband, Tave in 1978; and second husband, Frosty Lawson in 2003, brothers, Paul and Mart Bryson and sisters, Lena McJunkin and Lois Provost. |
