| MICHIGAN-Laura Lucille Shank, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2010 in Michigan. Graveside service will be Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 11:00 am. at the Hardtner-Elwood Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Kiowa, Kansas. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.lanmanmemorials.com Laura was born in Hardtner, Kansas on May 1, 1924 to Joseph James Summers and Gladys Mae Elmore Summers. She attended and graduated from Hardtner High School with the class of 1941. She worked for Sears for thirty years. She loved her family, friends, reading and baking. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jim Summers; one son, Sammie L. Shank. She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Laura Kujawski and husband, Jim of Michigan; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one sister, Faye Hill; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association through the funeral home. |
