KIOWA-David O. Combrink passed away on February 16, 2010.  Funeral service will
be Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in
Kiowa with Pastor Keith Fink officiating.  Burial will follow in the Riverview
Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Kiowa, Kansas.

David was born on October 21, 1919 on the farm near Hazelton, Kansas to David
Oscar and Bertha L. Smith Combrink.  He attended a country school until the
second grade and then went to Hazelton where he graduated from high school
with the class of 1937.  He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII.  On July 1,
1941 he and Wilma Jewel Emmele were united in marriage in Medicine Lodge,
Kansas.  David farmed until his retirement, he was a member of the United
Methodist Church, American Legion, VFW, he served as president of the Coop
board for Hazelton and Kiowa and was a Mason.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; Betty Hanna Rucker and one
grandchild, Joy Combrink.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma; one daughter; Carmen Stoneking and husband,
James of Plattsburg, Missouri; one son, Dennis Combrink and wife, Jeanne Ann of
Katy, Texas; seven grandchildren, Shelley Wolfe, Gina Leake, Michael Combrink,
Donna Juhl, Robin Moore, Scott Combrink, Ryan Combrink and nineteen
great-grandchildren.  

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church or Hospice Care of
Kansas through the funeral home.  

The casket will be open at the funeral home on Friday, February 19, 2010 from
10:00 to 6:00 p.m. and at the church before the service.
