| Amorita-Funeral service for Charlotte Ann Ludeman, 81, will be Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at Lanman Funeral Home Chapel in Cherokee with Pastor Gib Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Byron-Amorita Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Cherokee. Viewing at the funeral home will be Friday from 9:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. and Saturday 9:00 A.M. until service time. Memories may be shared with the family at www.lanmanmemorials.com. Charlotte was born on November 25, 1928 to Jerry Michael DeGrange and Mary Elizabeth Lee DeGrange in Cherokee and passed from this life on February 2, 2010 in Clearwater, Kansas. Charlotte’s activities in high school included playing on the basketball team. She lived her entire life in the Amorita area, and when she was younger, Charlotte taught piano lessons. She married Earl Franklin Ludeman in February of 1947, and they were lifelong farmers in the area. Charlotte was a member of the Driftwood Christian Church and was a member of the DAR for many years. She had many community projects including maintaining the tennis court and being a Den Mother for Scouts. Those who preceded Charlotte in death include her parents, her husband and her sister, Shirley Smith. Survivors include her four children, Lucinda J. Culver and husband, Jim of Wichita, Kansas, Eric E. Ludeman and wife, Susan of Tulsa, Allan L. Ludeman and wife, Wanda of Enid and Mary L. Gray of Watkinsville, Georgia; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren: Jason Ives, wife, Katie and daughter, Addison; John Ives and wife, Debbie; Jacob Culver, wife, Jennifer and three children, Aubrie, Emma and Chase; Jelisa Culver, Kristy Ludeman, Allan E. Ludeman, Jocelyn Gray, husband, Gary Seiavitch and daughter, Karlee; brother-in- law, George Smith of Kiowa, Kansas; two sisters-in-law, Joan Clutter of Clearwater, Kansas, Marieta Koch and husband, George of Friday Harbor, Washington. Memorials may be given to Byron-Amorita Cemetery Association, Byron-Amorita Fire and Rescue or Amorita Community Building through the funeral home. |
