Jerry “Decon” Arnold

July 5, 1959  -  January 6, 2019

Jerry "Decon" Arnold was born July 5, 1959 in Riverside, California to James and Mary Arnold. Decon married Dixie Bierig on February 17, 1979. One daughter, Bridget, was born to this union.

Decon was a jack of all trades: working in masonry, industrial chicken and hog farming, many areas of the oilfield and his favorite occupation was driving a truck. Decon had many talents including drawing, carving, woodwork and landscaping. He enjoyed camping, hunting deer and rattle snakes, fishing and anything in which his grandsons were involved. He was an animal lover, a trait he passed on to his daughters and grandchildren. He loved boxer dogs and had one most of his adult life. Many family members share that love and currently have or have had a boxer. Decon was always a favorite among his nieces and nephews. He always had a joke or story to tell. He was kind to everyone and never met a stranger. After a courageous fight against cancer, Decon passed peacefully at the Okeene Hospital on January 6, 2019.

Decon was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Arnold; his beloved father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl and Eddie Bierig; one sister, Felicia; three brothers, John, Okie and Art Arnold; brothers-in-law, Tim Harder and Terry Luetkemeyer and one sister-in-law, Deann Luetkemeyer.

Decon is survived by his wife of forty years, Dixie Arnold of Okeene; daughter, Bridget Hysell and husband, Justin and their children, Caden and Ryan of Canton; daughter, Sarah Buell and husband, Matt and their daughter, Sammi of Farmington, New Mexico; one sister, DeeDee Faulkner of Livingston, California; one brother, Jimmy Arnold of Idaho; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
