Paul was born July 12, 1941 in South Boston, Virginia to Edgar Bowen and Mae Reaves Bowen and died March 13, 2019 in Enid.  He graduated from Halifax County High School in 1960.  Shortly afterwards he joined the U.S. Air Force. Upon discharge from the Air Force, Paul went to work at Vance Fire Department in 1965.  He and Charlotte Watkins were married August 13, 1965 in Enid.  Paul retired in 2002.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte of Enid; one son, Brent Bowen of Lahoma; three daughters, Lorinda Haynes of Glenpool, Debra Frey and husband, John of Waukomis and Janet Lukenbaugh and husband, Ron of Lahoma; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, James Bowen and wife, Monica of Richmond, Virginia.

Paul’s parents, Edgar and Mae Bowen and one brother, Dallas Bowen preceded him in death.
