TJ Allison entered his eternal rest on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 surrounded by his loving family in his home. He was born on February 4, 1978 in Kiowa, Kansas to Ron and Judy (Stairs) Allison.
He married Nicole Cudmore on June 24, 2005 and to their union five children were born – Tate, Talyn, Tanis, Trace, and Turner. TJ poured his life into his family and his farm. He was a devoted husband, father, farmer, and rancher and friend.
TJ served on the school board for Cherokee Schools as Vice President. He loved to invest in the lives of kids, both as a member of the school board and also as a volunteer coach. There is now a basketball court named in TJ’s honor at the Cherokee Elementary School. TJ has always been very active in the community and loved supporting all things Cherokee Chiefs.
TJ was a volunteer fireman for the Cherokee Fire Department and served his country as a member of the National Guard. He was named citizen of the year for the City of Cherokee in 2013. TJ was a follower of Jesus and an active member of the First United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents – Otis and Erma Allison, C.D. (Mac) and Janie McBrayer, and Hobe Stairs.
He is survived by his wife, Nicole and five children of Cherokee; his parents, Ron and Judy Allison of Cherokee; four siblings – Donelle Wiechman and husband, Mike of Enid, Oklahoma, Kevin Allison and wife, Angela of Kiowa, Kansas, Rod Jantz and wife, Stephanie of Cherokee, Oklahoma, and Brandi Crenshaw and husband, Aaron of Enid, Oklahoma; parents-in-law, Scott and Mary Pat Cudmore of Cherokee; brother-in-law, Kyle Cudmore and wife, Lyndee of Cherokee; brother-in-law, Clay Cudmore and wife, Hailey of Cherokee and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Celebration of Life for TJ will be Monday, April 29, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Cherokee High School Auditorium with a graveside service to follow at Cherokee Municipal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the “Allison Love Fund” at Farmer’s Exchange Bank in Cherokee.
